Jordan Braun

My name is Jordan Braun, and I've lived in Langley almost my entire life. I graduated from Capilano College with a certificate in Film Acting. I pursued a career in acting, writing, and stand-up comedy, and was a cast member in the Vancouver production of Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding. In 2008 I began studying the Foreign Exchange market, and am currently building my portfolio as a day trader.

I've had a soft spot for political humor since I first saw an episode of Royal Canadian Air Farce at nine years old. From there my interest stemmed into real news and political science. As a teenager, I followed BC politics closely. I even saved a copy of the Province the day the front page story was Glen Clark's resignation.

Since I began following the Foreign Exchange market, my attention to the political scene has reached a new level. Every business day I analyze charts and see first hand how economic news around the world affects us. When I read the newspaper, I see how the party in power uses these things to
their advantage, not the population of B.C.. I decided to run for MLA last June, when I e-mailed my representative regarding the Carbon Tax. The e-mail I received back was a run-of-the-mill long-winded pre-recorded answer, with no real response hidden anywhere in the 10 or so pages.

As an MLA, I will try to bring back something B.C. hasn't seen in as long as I can remember.
Accountability. My main goal is to protect British Columbians by saying "no" to damaging legislation that defies common sense. Other provinces see us being abused by our leaders; I will do my part to make B.C. a province we can be proud of. We deserve a government that won't exploit us by slapping a tax on anything profitable. I believe in the BC Refederation Party's plan to accomplish that.
